Any time of year, in any weather, Ripples is your ultimate retreat, where you can choose to do as much or as little as you like. There are multiple day trips to be taken from here, but many of our guests choose not to leave once they arrive due to the secluded ambience of this Retreat. Hours and hours of design planning have gone into creating a romantic getaway that also delivers as luxury family accommodation, and the cabin has been cleverly designed to sleep up to 5 people.

Our serene countryside location makes it an ideal place to relax and enjoy activities such as fishing stargazing, walking, kayaking, and swimming and for a limited time we are also offering complimentary farm tours when you stay for 4 nights or more at Ripples.
We are under 3hrs from Auckland Airport and located in serene countryside we are the perfect place for a restful holiday yet there's so much to do and explore - that our guests always end up wanting to stay longer than they initially planned. On Day 1 take a scenic drive to the stunning and majestic West Coast Beaches, On Day 2 take a caving tour or zipline at Waitomo Caves; on Day 3 – 4, drive to Raglan or walk our farm track for spectacular views of Mount Ruapehu and then take a quick drive up to the scenic Waitanguru Falls.
On Days 5-10 Cycle the Timber Trail, take a jetboat trip to the Bridge to Nowhere, explore the world-renowned Botanical Gardens in Hamilton, have a trip to New Plymouth and explore Taranaki, the list goes on and on.
You'll then want a couple of days to just spend at Ripples to fish, swim, kayak, play, stargaze, relax and most of all, enjoy reconnecting and unwinding in this beautiful location, surrounded by nature.

This Waikato Retreat Accommodation near Waitomo Caves is under 3 hours from Auckland, halfway between Hamilton and New Plymouth and 15 minutes off State Highway 3. Approximately 2 hours drive from Taupo, Rotorua and Tauranga, it's beautiful accommodation to be used and enjoyed and we are so excited to share it with you!
