Just outside the rural village of Piopio, on a 3rd working sheep and beef farm, Cascade is ideal for families or couples travelling together.
Swim, kayak, fish, or head out exploring caves, waterfalls and Hobbit film locations — then come back to slow evenings, shared meals, and space to unwind.
Cascade is our larger handcrafted riverside cabin near Waitomo, thoughtfully designed for families and friends to slow down and reconnect.
Inspired by the surrounding landscape, its calming colours, original artwork and handcrafted details create a sense of warmth and ease.
Spend your days exploring caves, waterfalls and Hobbit film locations, then return to shared meals, outdoor baths and the gentle lullaby of the stream as it carries you off to sleep.

When our children were young, our two active boys wanted to be outside swimming and exploring; our daughter was happiest curled up with a book.
We designed Cascade for both kinds of childhood—and for parents who still wanted a beautiful, restful holiday.
There’s space to be together, quiet places to retreat, real beds for up to four children and a separate king bedroom.
Nobody’s holiday is an afterthought.
