Families Pre-Schoolers

We love welcoming families to Ripples Retreat! Please note, we have flowing water on the property, so children must be closely supervised at all times by a sober adult.

If you’re bringing young children, you must contact us before booking to acknowledge the risks and ensure everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing stay and please bring all their gear to keep them comfortable.

 

Non-smoking

As required by New Zealand Law and as the well-being and comfort of all guests at Ripples is important to us, we have a non-smoking and a non-vaping policy that applies to our cabin.

 

Arrival & Departure

Our normal check-in and check-out times are 3:00 pm and 10:00 am 

 

Bookings and Cancellations

• • Full payment is due upon booking

  • If you cancel within 21 days of arrival, the full payment is non-refundable.

  • We understand that plans can change, and we are happy to work with you to rebook your stay to alternative dates where possible (subject to availability).

  • We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unexpected changes to your plans.

 

Changing your dates

We understand that plans can change, and we’ll always do our best to help.

You can change your dates free of charge up to 21 days before arrival (subject to availability and seasonal rates).

Within 21 days of arrival, date changes are not guaranteed, and any payments made are non-refundable. If possible, we may offer to move your booking as a one-time courtesy.

We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover unexpected changes.

 

Minimum length of stay

Ripples Retreat has a 2-night minimum stay, and a 3-5 night minimum on long weekends, Summer holidays and Easter.  We sometimes also allow single nights in between bookings and in winter.

Dogs

We adore furry friends, but to keep Ripples Retreat a safe, serene, and allergy-friendly haven, we do not allow dogs or pets.

This helps ensure our cabins stay extra clean and completely allergy-free, so all guests can relax and enjoy their stay.

Parties

Ripples has a NO party policy.

Extra Guests and Visitors

You are welcome to have friends and family visit whilst you are staying at Ripples, however no extra unpaid guests are allowed to stay the night.

While we value your privacy, we can observe additional guests entering the property.  As a small family business, we value and rely on your honesty, and if anyone tries to bring in unauthorized guests to stay the night, you will all be asked to leave.

Please contact us if you would like to have additional guests stay and we will adjust your booking accordingly.

NO CAMPAVANS or RV's

EV's can be charged through a slow charge socket.
