Two luxury handmade cabins surrounded by breathtaking rolling hills and dramatic limestone cliffs. we have poured our hearts into crafting these unique and sustainable cabins that embody luxury and comfort, ensuring you feel cherished and pampered throughout your stay.
River Song, our enchanting couples' cabin, with a special little nook for extra's and Cascade, our spacious (50% larger) family retreat, both feature individually tailored designs that boast distinct and thoughtfully curated floor plans for your individual holiday.
150 meters apart and completely private from each other they are nestled in their own riverbank havens. Separated by lush trees and paddocks with grazing sheep, you can choose which cabin is best for your riverside holiday. Perfect for individual bookings—accommodating 5 and 6 guests respectively— or reserved together for magical group getaways for up to 11 people.

We have designed both cabins at Ripples Retreat to be a luxury vacation haven, offering the freedom to engage in as much or as little as you desire. We have extensively explored our local area and created a 10 day travel itinerary for you to do when you stay - taking the guess work out of staying in the central North Island. Many of our guests find it hard to leave, drawn in by the secluded ambiance and activities at our cabins.
